2026 Instructions for the GLDA Scholarship Application

Eligibility, Instructions & Rules for completing the Application:

1. Highschool or undergraduate students may apply.
2. GLDA Member must have paid 2026 dues by 3/14/2026.
3. GLDA Member must have paid for and attended 1 GLDA function from July 2025 – March 2026.
4. Below are required attachments to complete the application; judges will use all information during the evaluation process.
   1. Two (2) letters of recommendation written in the current year.  A counselor, teacher, co-worker or principal at the applicant’s present school must write at least one (1) of the letters of recommendation.
   2. An official or unofficial school transcript.
   3. A 3-5 minute video, see graphic for details.
   4. A copy of an acceptance letter or enrollment from an accredited college or university.
5. Last year’s recipients are not eligible. Applicant can only be awarded a maximum of 3 times.
6. Applications must be received by June 15, 2026. 

Scholarships will be handed out at the ceremony/luncheon, details to follow.
